Healthy eating starts with yourself and this by making conscious choices. Don’t opt for a bag of chips or a quick snack. It usually seems like the easiest solution, yetyour body is not getting what it needs. Highly processed products are full of sugar, fat and empty calories. So it is better to limit those.
Start the day with a good breakfast. Do not skip it, as you will miss out on a big energy boost. Choose something nutritious instead. Protein and fibre are the key. Think wholemeal bread or cereals, a bowl of yoghurt with fruit or an omelette with some vegetables. This will keep you satiated longer and help you avoid unhealthy snacks.
Later in the day, too, it’s all about balance. Less sugar and fat does not mean your food has to be boring. On the contrary: there are plenty of nutritious and tasty alternatives. This way, you give your body fuel that keeps your energy levels up.
In short: listen to what your body needs. With well-balanced meals, including a hearty breakfast, you build a foundation that will help you cope better with the rest of the day.
